Over the past few weeks I have been preparing to start working with students at Moody. Last week we had the privilege of spending time with the current 4th year group as they went through Basic Life Support (CPR) training, and a Wilderness First Responder course. It is so cool to get to be a part of a course that not only provides the flight training for those wanting to go onto the field, but also equips them to do well in those environments.
I have also started flying and briefing with two students who I am blessed to be working with for the remainder of the semester. We are currently working towards their completion of their Private Pilot Certificate, after which we get to move into some bigger and faster airplanes. I feel so blessed that the Lord has allowed me to start my time in missionary service at Moody Aviation. I get to fly amazing aircraft, serve with incredible people, and help prepare the next generation of mission aviators.
An added bonus is that my office also has one of the best views you could ask for, and it’s constantly changing.
Right now we are committed to instructing through Moody Aviation for two years, with the hope of transitioning over to AIM Air and hopefully moving to Africa in 2023 or 2024. We realize that this is a long way out, but it still appears to be the way in which God is leading us. Until He changes those plans, we will keep moving forward and following Him.
Stay tuned for future updates as we continue to serve at Moody Aviation through Proclaim Aviation Ministries!
